Sea ribwort berries originally came from Mediterranean areas and grew in countries around the Mediterranean Sea, from Syria to North Africa. It is a creeper, that grows and flourishes on shrubs and trees. When the trees and shrubs no longer provide enough nutrients, sea ribwort berries can also grow as ground cover, such as you might find at many beaches on the Mediterranean coast.
Sea ribwort berries are very flexible plants and can adapt to various climatic zones. They need plenty of sunshine and are susceptible to frost damage. For that reason it is advisable to plant them in a sunny spot, sheltered from the wind.
